Mushroom production

At the farm, the substrate is distributed across the mushroom beds in a layer of a even thickness. It is covered with a layer of casing soil to ensure the right moisture conditions during the mushrooms’ growth. The mushrooms can be harvested after 21 days. That is done by machine. The harvested mushrooms are visually inspected, and those that do not meet our requirements are removed.

Mushroom production

The mushrooms are deposited in crates, which are inspected by one of our staff members. The specific characteristics of each batch are stored in our computer system. Each pallet is identified by a barcode sticker, via which the batches can be tracked. The last step at our mushroom farm is vacuum packing, to prevent further ageing of the mushrooms and ensure that they will retain their quality throughout the next steps in the process.
